Children may benefit from an individual approach at some point in their journey with us. An individual therapy plan will be agreed and family/parents/carers will be an active participant in all sessions. The aim is always to ensure that any strategies can be carried over at home or any other settings with confidence.
We can run a number of pair or small group sessions. This might be sessions focusing on early communication, attention interaction and play or on supporting language development and confidence building. We always focus on ensuring parents/carers/important people are able to learn strategies to carry over in real life. It is also an opportunity to bring families together.
These can be provided on our site for smaller groups or at your site. If settings have sessions already running (e.g. forest school, outdoor learning, rebound therapy, soft play) we can join you and support you to integrate therapy goals into what you are already doing. Sessions must be supported by education staff/parents/carers to support carry over.
Life is busy and the best speech, language and communication opportunities happen in real life when you are doing other things! We can come and join you at horse riding, the playground, trampolining, soft play, on a walk, playgroup, or in your garden and support you to integrate therapy goals and therapy programmes into real life.
We can provide more general forest school sessions for groups at our site or yours. Watch this space for upcoming sessions or let us know you are interested.
We offer ad-hoc outdoor well being sessions for neurodivergent women (inclusive) as well as parents of children and young people including adopters and foster carers.
